![]() ![]() My biggest issue with it was there wasn't anywhere in the game that told you what your current quest is so if you took a break and came back you have to figure it out on your own without any hints from the menus on where to go. The story was decent but I personally wasn't the biggest fan of it and was getting annoyed with certain characters towards the end. I don't recommend the full price but if you catch it on sale its worth a look into. Overall it seemed like a group of new developers trying something different and it wasn't bad. It was a little slow when it came to progression and the movement was a bit strange, not being able to toggle a run and only being able to move faster after equipping a special item further into the game. I enjoyed the game but trying to get 100% achievements was frustrating at times and the controls were a little weird but manageable. This is very much geared more towards a mobile game experience than pc but it is worth checking out if you enjoy creature collectors. If you don't really care about most of the stuff I said, and only want some monster collection game to burn some of your free time with, feel free to get it. I'll have to watch a video of gameplay before I give it a try. With what I've played in this game, the fact that it apparently at microtransactions for what essentially was a very shallow pokemon clone didn't leave a good taste in my mouth tbh.Īpparently the sequel improves on everything, but I'm not sure I'll play it after playing this one tbh. It even has a shop that is never open with a sign saying it's a gemstone bazaar and that it'll open soon. However what truly got me to not recommend the game was coming to the realisation that it's just a port of a mobile game. The writing is also not very good, at times it feels like it was most likely written by someone whose English wasn't their first language. The story is somehow more stretched in regards to the imagination than pokemon is, which is about a young child travelling the country alone trying to become a pokemon master.īut nexomon is about you also being a young child, but it's in a world where people use their nexomon to fight real battles and take over the world with, the the strongest nexomon tamer is the ruler of that world? ![]() You can't rename your nexomon, there's very little to interact with. The reason I'm not recommending it is because it's honestly feels like a very lazy pokemon copy. The way you heal your nexomon is exactly the same, the way you catch nexomon is exactly the same, but instead of throwing pokeballs, you throw balls in the shape of an X at them. Like, it doesn't even try to hide it or improve upon it. So, I'm not recommending this game because I think it's really bad. ![]()
